His Excellency Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) , honored 15 entities from the government and private sectors, success partners, work teams and contributors to the success of the UAE Innovates Month 2024.
In his speech during the ceremony organized by the MPDA , celebrating the success of the remarkable event, His Excellency said that the MPDA takes pride in the positive results achieved, as the Month eyed the implementation of more than 25 innovative activities on four different platforms, including Ajman Marina, Ajman X Centre, the Manama Municipality Administration, and the Masfout Municipality Administration, reviewing the innovative projects that cast their positive shadows on all walks of life.
His Excellency voiced his pride in the remarkable participation of the departments and their keenness to embody the positive image of their diligent work in the field of innovation and creativity, commending the efforts intensified and tasks integrated by all departments, institutions and entities to achieve the best results in advancing the sustainable development wheel, and ensuring leadership in various fields.
The MPDA made honorable results over its inspiring and sustainable journey in the field of innovation and continues its diligent work to achieve the best, serving the well-being and happiness of society, His Excellency said.
For her part, Dr. Sheikha Noura Humaid Al Nuaimi, Director of Ajman X and Chairwoman of the Supreme Committee for the UAE Innovates Month 2024, said that the MPDA has developed a holistic and integrated plan to celebrate the important national mind-stimulating event that brings together creators and innovators to search for challenges and find solutions. The Department held a myriad of discussion workshops and scientific seminars and attracted ideas and solutions, she said, noting that the events saw the participation and interaction of 3,000 people, which reflects the desire to engage in innovation and turn it into a tangible reality whose impact is felt by everyone in every single detail of life.
During the ceremony, His Excellency honored the Smart Services Development Department and crowning it with the Leading Department Shield in the Department Innovation Day initiative. His Excellency also honored the Manama Municipality Administration for ranking third, while the Geographic Information Systems Department ranked second.
