Under the umbrella of the “UAE: Capital of Entrepreneurship Worldwide” Campaign, the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) has announced the launch of eight quality initiatives supporting entrepreneurship. They are designed to enhance the investment environment in the Ajman and create an integrated business stem, aligning with the Ajman Vision 2030 goals of building national cadres capable of accomplishing the Emirate’s aspirations and creating a competitive business environment and investment opportunities that push forward economic growth.
Ajman’s Competitiveness and Leadership
In this connection, His Excellency Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, the MPDA’s Director General, asserted that the MPDA’s participation in the campaign comes as part of its commitment to supporting the wise leadership’s directives to empower entrepreneurs. The MPDA works on creating executive policies that attract investment in infrastructure and public services, and developing incubators and programs to support research and innovation, thus enhancing the Emirate’s competitiveness and leadership, His Excellency noted.
Various Initiatives
His Excellency said that the approved initiatives aim to bring positive results with tangible impact on everyone. They include the Commercial Construction Consulting Initiative for Entrepreneurs, which offers free consulting sessions on construction consulting, design standards, and legislative regulations, and the “Fast Track License” initiative, which offers speedy new business licenses for entrepreneurs.
In a related context, His Excellency noted that the eight approved initiatives include the Small Business in Gardens Project, the Home-Based Business License Entrepreneurs Initiative, and the Restaurant Consulting Initiative.
Stimulation and Support
His Excellency added that the MPDA is bound by sustainable practices to provide a stimulating and positive environment for entrepreneurs in the Emirate, referring to the “Supporting Entrepreneurship with a Spirit of Happiness” Initiative, whose objectives align with the MPDA’s comprehensive and integrated plans to stimulate and support entrepreneurs, as well as the “Empowering Entrepreneurs” Initiative, which provides necessary technical and administrative support for the growth, continuity and success of their projects.
Sustainable Approach to Comprehensive Development
His Excellency said that the MPDA launched an entrepreneurship platform on its official website, aiming to support entrepreneurship and empower budding entrepreneurs by providing easy and clear access to information and services, along with adding the “Best Entrepreneur” Category to the Al Nuqwa Award to honor inspiring entrepreneurial role models in the Emirate.
It is noted that the MPDA adopts a sustainable approach to turn the Emirate of Ajman into an attractive hub for entrepreneurship and investment, through effective partnerships and initiatives that keep pace with the economic and developmental transformations in the State.
