MPDA organizes Business Continuity Partners Majlis

The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) organized the Business Continuity Partners Majlis, with the participation of several government departments in the emirate, aiming to discuss challenges in the business continuity system and enhance institutional preparedness. Representatives from the Department of Economic Development, the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation, the Department of Finance, and the Department of Human Resources attended, in addition to members of the MPDA’s Business Continuity Management Executive Committee.

 

In this connection, Mr. Marawan Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the MPDA’s Business Continuity System Executive Committee and Director of Service Centers, asserted that the Majlis reinforces government partnerships and integrates efforts to address operational challenges and find positive solutions. He emphasized the importance of knowledge transfer among government entities, the integration of tasks, the signing of future cooperation agreements, and the training of national talent to enhance the emirate’s preparedness in facing crises and ensuring the continuity of vital services.

 

Al Nuaimi noted that the MPDA adopts comprehensive plans and strategic efforts within the business continuity system, and works sustainably to achieve integration, synergy of tasks, and enhance coordination among all bodies.

 

Discussion of the System Mechanism and Shared Challenges

The Majlis made an extensive explanation of the mechanism for implementing the business continuity system in government institutions, along with a discussion of the challenges coming in the way of the application during emergencies. Participants emphasized the importance of standardizing procedures across bodies, tapping into lessons learned from past situations, and developing plans that enhance the institutions’ ability to sustain their services. The discussions also highlighted the necessity of activating continuous communication among partners to ensure comprehensive preparedness.

 

Majlis outcomes and future steps

The Majlis reached a number of outcomes, most notably an agreement to strengthen cooperation among government bodies, in addition to developing joint training programs to build the capacity of specialized staff. It was also agreed to launch initiatives that enhance the resilience of government institutions and their ability to respond effectively during crises, emphasizing the commitment to the development of joint action plans, a matter which contributes to ensuring the continuity of government services and enhancing institutional preparedness in the Emirate of Ajman.
