The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) held its annual staff meeting for 2026 under the theme “One Family… A Promising Vision”, in the presence of by His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the MPDA, His Excellency Abdul-Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the MPDA, along with directors and staff members. The meeting took place in atmosphere that embodied the one family spirit and mirrored the values of cohesion and teamwork, geared towards at achieving the MPDA’s strategic goals and aligning with Ajman Vision 2030.
Fostering Positive Work Environment
This meeting underscored the MPDA’s keenness to foster a positive work environment that supports family stability and encourages work-life balance, thereby playing great part in increasing happiness and life quality of the staff.
Ten Years of Leadership
His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi honored His Excellency Abdul-Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, on the tenth anniversary of leadership and dedication in assuming his post as Director General, in recognition of his leadership achievement-rich career, and inspiring role in supporting competencies and achieving the MPDA’s aspirations.
Family Council
The meeting eyed the announcement of the formation of the Family Council, chaired by Engineer Noura Rashid Shattaf, Executive Director of the Strategy and Customer Happiness Sector, to serve as a supportive institutional platform concerned with family and staff affairs, and contributing to the proposal and implementation of impactful initiatives that strengthen family bonds, in line with the MPDA’s strategic vision and the UAE’s societal values.
Al Nuqwa Award
During the meeting, the winners of the MPDA Chairman’s Award for Institutional Excellence (Al Nuqwa) in its seventh edition for 2025 were honored. This award included the MPDA Chairman’s Medals for Functional Excellence, in recognition of distinguished human resources and promotion of excellence culture and positive competition.
The MPDA announced that Aisha Al Tunaiji, Director of the MPDA’s Spatial Information Systems Department, received the Supervisory Employee Medal, Engineer Afraa Al Balushi received the Field Employee Medal, Rehab Ikhlasi and Suad Al Durra received the Specialist Employee Medal, Engineer Alaa Abdul-Halim received the Executive Employee Medal, and Laila Al Muhairi received the Customer Happiness Medal.
Job Satisfaction
During the ceremony, the MPDA announced the 2025 Job Satisfaction results, which reflected a high level of job satisfaction and a positive work environment, along with honoring the top-performing and most improved departments compared to the previous year.
Honoring PhD and Master’s Degree Holders
In support of academic and knowledge excellence, PhD and Master’s degree holding employees were honored in recognition of their academic efforts and contributions to the development of institutional work.
International Awards and Accreditations
The meeting also honored departments and teams that made significant achievements in local and international awards and accreditations in innovation, sustainability, digital transformation, and life quality, contributing to strengthening the MPDA’s institutional reputation.
Honoring Premium Individuals
In a gesture reflecting the MPDA’s commitment to the values of inclusivity, social responsibility, and honoring those who deserve recognition, the meeting honored content creators, outstanding service providers, hero employees, the helpful and supportive, and honored people of determination in appreciation of their contributions and active role, and in support of their empowerment and integration into the workplace and society, in line with the UAE’s directives to empower people of determination.
Wrapping up the meeting, the MPDA noted that this annual event embodies its vision of building a one institutional family, working with a promising vision and proceeding confidently towards a more distinct and productive future, to serve the homeland and elevate the Emirate of Ajman.
