By embracing innovative solutions, the MPDA continues to advance its vision of building a smarter and more sustainable city.
The Agreement was signed by His Excellency Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the MPDA, and Fahad Al Hassawi, the Company’s CEO, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.
HE Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi said that this initiative reflects the MPDA’s dedication to integrating smart solutions within the municipal framework. Describing the project as a significant leap in monitoring and supervising crusher sites, Al Nuaimi highlighted that the new smart gates will streamline operational processes and ensure compliance with environmental standards, supporting our efforts towards sustainable urban development and strengthening Ajman’s position as a leading smart city.
For his part, Fahad Al Hassawi, CEO of du, stated that signing the agreement with Ajman Municipality underscores the Company’s commitment to advancing digital transformation plans across the UAE and strengthening cooperation with leading government entities in the digital sector. Al Hassawi expressed pride in the strategic partnership with Ajman Municipality, describing it as a pioneering model for applying artificial intelligence technologies in developing smart infrastructure.
This groundbreaking project marks the first of its kind in the Emirate, integrating automated monitoring, digital payment, and regulatory compliance into a unified system that enhances operational efficiency and improves the customer experience. In line with the agreement, the smart gates will utilise advanced cameras, artificial intelligence systems, and digital payment solutions to provide precise real-time monitoring of vehicle operations at crusher sites, thereby strengthening adherence to environmental standards and raising operational safety levels.
The MPDA affirmed that this initiative aligns with its broader strategy to leverage modern technology in enhancing municipal services and accelerating digital transformation within government operations, in line with the MPDA’s vision of smart governance and sustainable development that improves the quality of life across the Emirate.
