The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman hosted the Ajman 2026 Public Health Pest Control Companies Forum to address and refine the standards and requirements for accrediting companies operating in this field, improve training and qualification programs, discuss significant challenges, and identify solutions and opportunities for improvement. These initiatives aim to elevate public health pest control services across the Emirate, aligning with the strategic goal of promoting environmental sustainability, reducing pollution, and promoting carbon neutrality.
Eng. Makiya Hassan Ghuloom, Director of the MPDA’s Public Health Department, emphasized that the forum reflects the Department’s dedication to advancing the public health pest control system, enhancing the performance of accredited companies and boosting their technical and operational readiness to ensure the provision of high-quality services that protect the community’s health and safety.
Community Health and Safety at the Forefront
The forum brought together all accredited pest control companies, the Public Health Department, and suppliers of pesticides and control materials. The initiative sought to strengthen collaboration, establish enduring communication channels, exchange knowledge, and showcase cutting-edge developments and technologies in the sector. This collective effort contributes to refining service quality and launching qualitative initiatives that advance the public health pest control system while raising service standards to meet globally recognized benchmarks.
Transforming Recommendations into Impactful Projects
In its concluding session, the forum engaged accredited public health pest control companies in a panel discussion, where inspection observations were reviewed, and developmental concepts, proposals and challenges encountered by companies were outlined. A series of recommendations emerged from the event, which will be carefully evaluated and implemented in accordance with approved frameworks.
