The Municipality & Planning Department – Ajman celebrated the Flag Day, which is a national occasion that embodies the feelings of loyalty and belongingness, in which the hearts of the citizens and residents of the homeland come together around the banner of the UAE, the symbol of glory and sovereignty, hoisting the flag of the country above all its buildings in the city center and the cities of Masfout and Manama.
H.E. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, the Department’s Director-General, emphasized: “Celebrating the Flag day is a sincere expression of our love of the homeland and our loyalty to its wise leadership, and an embodiment of the meanings of union and pride of the national accomplishments that have been achieved under the wise leadership, aligning with the trends of Ajman Vision 2030 for building an inclusive, cohesive and empowered society, and in attainment of the objective for the enhancement of Emirati identity and communal cohesion.”
His Excellency stated: “The Department has cared to hoist the flag at the specified time, sharing the various organizations of the UAE their celebration of this precious occasion that falls on the 3rd of November every year, in a national scene that reflects the cohesion of the leadership and the people and the depth of belongingness to the precious homeland.”
His Excellency noted: “The UAE has given the world a unique example of unity and cohesion, thanks to the wise vision of the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, May Allah have mercy upon him, who instilled, along with his brothers, the Rulers, the foundations of the Federation. Our wise leadership today, under the leadership of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, May Allah protect him, continues the journey of building and superiority so that the banner of the UAE would remain highly waving amongst the nations.”
In the course of its celebrations of the occasion, the Department implemented a communal initiative for the distribution of flags on homes throughout the various areas of the Emirate, to enhance the spirit of national belongingness and to encourage the population to take part in the expression of their honor and pride of the banner of the homeland.
