The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Project Management Institute (PMI), UAE Branch, within the framework of mutual keenness on consolidating joint cooperation and unifying the integrated efforts between the parties to serve the customers in all targeted classes and segments.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the Department by Mr. KHALID AHMED AL HOSANI, the Executive Director of the Support Services Sector at the Department, while H.E. ADEEL SULTAN, Chairman of the Project Management Institute (PMI) – Dubai, signed on behalf of the Institute, in the presence of a number of officers and experts from both parties.
In this regard, Mr. KHALID AL HOSANI stressed that the Department is keen to open up horizons for working with all leading entities in qualitative fields, most importantly projects, to invest the capabilities available to both parties; human cadres, technical and technological teams, and cumulative practical experiences, which contribute to achieving the best results.
For his part, H.E. ADEEL SULTAN, expressed his pride in cooperating with the Department, which achieved qualitative achievements and successes in the field of projects, confirming that the MoU frames aspects of cooperation and joint coordination between the parties, and supports current and future avenues for cooperation in various fields.
The MoU includes consolidating the strategic partnership and exchanging knowledge and expertise on best practices in project management strategies and providing activities that achieve mutual benefit for both parties in the field of project management, capacity building and cooperation in this field, as well as establishing a partnership in the field of project management, capacity building and cooperation on preparation and development of case studies.
The MoU is also intended for raising awareness about PMI project management programs and tools, facilitating knowledge sharing, and commitment to promoting PMI certificates for the relevant employees and professionals in the Emirate of Ajman.
