Ajman Municipality Concludes “Ramadan in Al Furjan” Events with the Participation of 140 Contestants

The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman announced the conclusion of the “Ramadan in Al Furjan” events, which included 6 diverse programs combining religious, cultural, and recreational activities, and promoting family cohesion, thereby embodying the values and authenticity of the Holy Month. This is in alignment with the directions of Ajman Vision 2030, which consists of building an inclusive, cohesive, and empowered society, and in harmony with the “Year of the Family” to enhance cohesion and bonding among community members.

The programs aimed to consolidate faith-based values, enhance social cohesion, and promote solidarity among community members, in addition to providing purposeful interactive activities that contribute to spreading knowledge, supporting talents, and bringing joy and happiness to families and community members.

Comprehensive Events Targeting All Segments of Society

In this regard, Mr. Ibrahim Samra Al Shehhi, Director of the Liaison and Community Department, affirmed that the Department continuously seeks to adopt an integrated model for community events that combines the faith-based dimension with the cultural and recreational dimension, ensuring the engagement of all age groups in an authentic Ramadan atmosphere that fosters a sense of belonging and social responsibility.

Al Shehhi clarified that the Department aimed to involve strategic partners to activate institutional integration in ensuring the success of initiatives with a sustainable social impact, praising the cooperation of the Gold Sponsor, Tiger Company, and its contribution to the success of the positive events and diverse programs.

Throughout the Holy Month

“Ramadan in Al Furjan” included organizing the “Rattil Wa Irtaqi” (Recite and Ascend) event on Mondays and Wednesdays after the Asr prayer throughout the Holy Month, in cooperation with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, and Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Centre for Holy Quran Service, with the aim of strengthening the connection of community members with the Book of Allah Almighty and consolidating the values of faith and commitment during the Holy Month. It also included the “Multaqa Al Iman” (Faith Forum) program, which was held after the Taraweeh prayer to include guidance and awareness sessions that contribute to spreading religious awareness.

24 Winners in Diverse Competitions

The Department announced 24 winners in the motivational competitions, which included the “Most Beautiful Recitation” competition to encourage the mastery of recitation according to the rules of Tajweed, alongside the “Young Muezzin” competition to revive the Sunnah of the Adhan (Call to Prayer) and highlight its beauty in a distinctive spiritual atmosphere. (In addition to motivational prizes for those committed to the “Rattil Wa Irtaqi” memorization circles).

 

“An Integrated Vision for a Sustainable Renaissance” Council

Within the framework of promoting inspiring gatherings, and under the umbrella of the Community Majlises initiative, the “Ramadan in Al Furjan” festival, in collaboration with Roaity Exhibition Organizing, organized a panel discussion titled “An Integrated Vision for a Sustainable Renaissance,” shedding light on the most prominent opportunities available for young entrepreneurs, and the role of the family in establishing a culture of positive investment and fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among children.

It is worth mentioning that “Ramadan in Al Furjan” comes as part of a comprehensive and integrated plan implemented by the Department to include diverse events and qualitative initiatives that contribute to raising the quality of life and enhancing societal happiness in the Emirate of Ajman.
