The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman continues its efforts to develop an integrated regulatory system that enhances public health and wellbeing in the Emirate, based on the latest global practices and smart systems, supported by qualified national talent. This comes within the framework of its vision to build a healthy and safe community, and in line with its strategic objective of strengthening food and environmental management, in alignment with the Ajman Vision 2030.
2153 Inspection Visits
The Public Health Department recorded advanced regulatory performance during Q1 2026, carrying out 2153 inspection visits, including 1577 visits to food establishments and 576 visits to health establishments, within 60 inspection plans. This reflects efficient planning and a focus on the quality and targeting of inspection operations to achieve optimal results.
Integrated System
Dr. Eng. Khalid Moeen Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector at the Department, affirmed that the results achieved in Q1 2026 reflect the efficiency of the integrated regulatory system adopted by the Department, which is based on smart planning, risk analysis, investment in national talent, and modern technologies. He noted the continued development of the public health system to ensure community protection and individual safety.
Dr. Eng. Al Hosani added that the Department places great importance on awareness and training as a key pillar of sustainable compliance, through intensified training programs, field campaigns, and strengthened partnerships with relevant entities, contributing to a healthy and safe environment.
1369 High-Compliance Establishments and 37104 Training Activities
Dr. Eng. Al Hosani stated that intensive efforts and the implemented awareness and training programs led to positive results, including 1369 food and health establishments achieving high compliance ratings, reflecting improved adherence and service quality. In parallel, 37104 training sessions were conducted for workers in food and health establishments, as part of a proactive approach aimed at enhancing sustainable health culture and reducing violations.
“Raqeeb” Enhances Inspection Efficiency
To enhance inspection efficiency, the Department adopted the smart “Raqeeb” system, which contributed to improving inspection mechanisms through smart visit planning, inspector task management, optimal geolocation guidance, and digital documentation of field procedures, thereby increasing transparency and standardizing inspection results.
13.65% Increase in Requests and 26.84% in Control Operations
In the same context, Dr. Eng. Al Hosani highlighted the Department’s public health efforts, including pest control activities. Q1 2026 saw an increase in requests to 4433 compared to 3828 in the same period of 2025, a 13.65% rise. Total inspection and control operations increased to 568,309 compared to 415,760, representing a 26.84% growth.
786 Field Campaigns Across Various Sectors
In this context, the Department conducted 786 diverse field campaigns, including awareness and educational campaigns in homes, labor accommodations, and institutions, as well as preventive campaigns during the rainy season, targeted campaigns in most affected areas, and training programs for licensed pest control companies, enhancing response efficiency and prevention.
These integrated efforts contributed to tangible results, including a reduction in public health pest infection rates within safe limits, decreased related disease cases, improved customer satisfaction, and enhanced emergency response readiness.

The Department called on community members to support these efforts by reporting any observations or complaints via the Ajman Call Center 80070, available 24/7, emphasizing the importance of community partnership in strengthening the public health system.
