The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman, represented by its Project Management and Business Development Office, received a delegation from Ajman Free Zones Authority. The visit aimed to review the best practices in government project management and facilitate the exchange of institutional expertise between the two entities.
Key Areas of Focus
The meeting addressed several key areas in the field of project management, including project management methodologies, key implementation challenges, operational processes and business models, and project classification mechanisms. Additionally, the strategic and operational performance indicators adopted by the Department were reviewed. The meeting also featured a detailed presentation of the “TARABOT” electronic project management system, an integrated model designed to streamline project management and enhance the efficiency of monitoring and execution, thereby promoting transparency and governance in project management.
Exchanging Expertise and Positive Experiences
In this context, Ms. Aisha Humaid Al Matrooshi, Director of the Project Management and Business Development Office, affirmed that the meeting is part of the Department’s commitment to strengthening institutional cooperation and exchanging government expertise, which contributes to advancing the work system and enhancing the readiness of project teams across the emirate.
Al Matrooshi added that both parties will continue to collaborate on developing processes and procedures related to project management and activating knowledge-sharing channels to boost institutional performance and achieve integration in government work.
For their part, the members of the visiting delegation expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception and excellent organization. They commended the Department’s efforts in developing its project management systems and adopting innovative digital solutions. They also stressed the importance of sustaining such meetings, which serve as an effective platform for exchanging experiences and expanding cooperation to advance government work and achieve optimal results.
