The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) has been awarded the Platinum Accreditation for its Institutional Innovation Management System by IDEAS UK for the second consecutive year. This prestigious recognition positions the MPDA among the first government entities in the Emirate of Ajman to attain such a distinguished accreditation, underscoring its steadfast commitment to innovation and continuous improvement within the public sector, aligned with the aspirations of Ajman Vision 2030.
Well-Deserved Achievement with a 95% Score
This accomplishment follows the MPDA’s successful completion of a comprehensive assessment conducted by IDEAS UK, which evaluated a rigorous set of criteria related to the institutional innovation management framework. The assessment also reviewed best practices in idea development and employee engagement in fostering creativity. The MPDA earned an impressive score of 95%, an increase from last year’s 92%, demonstrating its ongoing progress and dedication to excellence.
The Highest Level of Accreditation
Dr Hamdan Mohammed Al Ali, Acting Executive Director of the Support Services Sector at the MPDA, expressed his pride in receiving the accreditation, which represents the highest level of accreditation awarded by IDEAS UK to institutions that have excelled in embedding a culture of innovation and activating ideas systems on a global scale. “This achievement reflects the MPDA’s commitment to adopting innovative institutional practices that foster a stimulating environment for creative ideas, contribute to the development of government services, and enhance the quality of life in the Emirate” Dr. Al Ali emphasised.

Sheikha Noora Al Nuaimi, the Innovation Advisor and Director of Ajman X Centre, remarked that earning the platinum accreditation marks the culmination of a pioneering journey in establishing a culture of institutional innovation within the MPDA.
