The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) announced that it has been awarded two international certifications: ISO 21505:2017 for Portfolio, Program and Project Governance, and ISO 30408:2016 for Human Resource Governance. This milestone underscores the MPDA’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and transparency while fostering the growth and development of national talent.
H.E. Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the MPDA, praised the achievement as a valuable addition to the MPDA’s track record of accomplishments. “This milestone reflects the efforts and dedication of our exceptional teams and ambitious talent, and their commitment to strengthening governance and enhancing institutional performance in line with international best practices” he said.
Commenting on the Human Resource Governance certification, H.E. Al Nuaimi emphasized the pivotal role of MPDA’s Human Resources Department in implementing the highest international standards and best practices in performance quality and institutional excellence. “This certification is the result of strategic plans that have strengthened institutional performance, integrity, and compliance” he added.
H.E. Al Nuaimi further stated that the Project Management and Business Development Office’s attainment of the international ISO certification in Portfolio, Program and Project Governance represents a qualitative achievement at the national level. “The certification provides a comprehensive framework that enhances project management efficiency, promotes transparency and effective governance, and supports institutional development and continuous improvement in line with international standards, thereby reinforcing the MPDA’s position as a leading institution in applying global best practices” he affirmed.
The MPDA’s achievement of ISO 21505:2017 in Portfolio, Program and Project Governance, alongside ISO 30408:2016 in Human Resource Governance, underscores its firm commitment to global best practices and the continuous development of its institutional framework.
