H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi, the Chairman of Ajman Department of Municipality & Planning and the Vice-Chairman of the Arab Youth Center, received H.E. Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al-Neyadi, the Minister of State for Youth Affairs, at the Department’s headquarters, with the presence of H.E. Abdul-Rahman Mohammed Al-Nuaimi, the Director-General of the Municipality Department, and a number of officials.
In the beginning of the meeting, His Highness welcomed H.E. Dr. Al-Neyadi and the accompanying delegation, applauding the exerted efforts and the ambitious plans of the Arab Youth Center for bolstering the role of the youth in the journey of national development, emphasizing that the UAE considers its youth to be the primary motivator of growth, and the real wealth based on which sustainable future is to be built.
His Highness confirmed: “Supporting youth personnel and enabling them to take leadership is a national and a strategic commitment, as all authorities, departments and organizations believe that they are firm basis for the leadership of the society and the State and its advancement in all domains.”
His Highness proceeded: “Investing in the capabilities of the youth and providing an environment that embraces creativity is a top priority within the National Agenda.”, while he appreciated the prominent role being played by the Arab Youth Center for empowering the youth and providing them with various skills and experiences.
During the meeting, His Highness inspected the programs, initiatives and plans adopted by the Center, and its objectives aiming to enhance the readiness of the youth to become engaged in the labor market, and he urges them to innovate and to actively contribute to building their homeland.
From his side, H.E. Dr. Sultan Al-Neyadi appreciated the efforts of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid in supporting and empowering the youth, emphasizing that sharpening youthful talents and directing them towards the paths of excellence and innovation is a common approach and a mutual responsibility.
H.E. Al-Neyadi said: “The UAE has given a pioneering global model in the empowerment of the youth, by the supportive policies and the future visions set forth by the wise leadership, a thing which has enabled the youth to become real partners in decision making and contributing to shaping the future of the homeland.”
The meeting included the discussion of a number of future projects and initiatives of the Arab Youth Center, which aim to bolster the position of the Emirati youth as leaders and pioneers of change and to shed light on the so many stories of success and creativity of the youth. Furthermore, the discussion included the mechanisms of development and the expansion of the scope of communal engagement of the youth, by the adoption of qualitative initiatives that cope with the changes of the age, and enhances their contribution in various vital sectors, such as technology, sustainability, and business leadership.
The meeting ended with emphasizing the importance of the consolidation of efforts between government authorities and communal organizations for building an integrated system of support for the youth, and providing clear tracks that enable them to transfer their ideas and ambitions into pioneering projects and concrete accomplishments in the various sectors.
