H.H. Rashid bin Human Al-Nuaimi, the Chairman of the Municipality & Planning Department – Ajman, honored the ambitious staff of the Department, which has been awarded the Global & Regional MIKE Award in Knowledge Innovation, which is awarded to the most outstanding organizations in the field of knowledge innovation and knowledge initiatives, winning the Gold Shield on the level of the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) for the best three organizations on the world’s level in the field of knowledge management and innovation.
His Highness received, in his office, the work team, with the presence of H.E. Abdul-Rahman Al-Nuaimi, the Department’s Director-General, and Mr. Hamdan Al Ali, the Deputy Executive Director of the Supporting Services Sector, appreciating the honorable accomplishment, which emphasizes the Department’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the culture of excellence and knowledge creativity, and the attainment of leadership in the application of the best global practices, a thing which reflects positively on improving the quality of corporate performance and provided services.
His Highness conveyed his pride of the accomplished achievements over the past period in the field of knowledge and innovation, and the care of the qualified human resources for the application of the best knowledge innovations and the adoption of the best global practices for the attainment of the desired objectives.
From his side, Mr. Mohammed Ali Al-Mahri, the Director of the Human Resources Department, gave a detailed explanation to His Highness on the global award and the stages of work in the same and the exerted efforts, and the Department’s presentation, during the global conference, of a worksheet titled: “The Department’s Journey of Knowledge Management”, delivered by Mrs. Fatma Al-Shamsi, presenting the knowledge-based and innovative transformation milestones that were adopted by the Department over the past years.
Al-Mahri stated: “The global award is organized by the Institute for Knowledge & Innovation Southeast Asia (IKI-SEA), in cooperation with Bangkok University, aiming to honor the organizations that apply the best practices in knowledge management systems and the implementation of innovative knowledge initiatives efficiently and sustainably.”
In the end of the honoring ceremony, His Highness called the competent personnel to continue the journey of accomplishment and creativity in the knowledge-based field, as the Department and its resources would never stop working harder, and would accept nothing else than leadership in the various fields.
It is ought to mention that the Department took part in the events of the Knowledge & Innovation Management Practices & Collaborative Transformation Forum that was hosted by the Kingdom of Thailand, with the presence of the regional and global representatives of the award, including Mrs. Grace Al-Najjar – the Founder & Representative of MIKE Award on MENA’s level, and Mr. Vincent Ribiere – the General Coordinator of Global MIKE Award.
