20% growth pushes Ajman’s leasehold value to AED 1.442 billion in Q1 2026

The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) has announced a significant increase in the value of leasehold contracts during the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period in 2024, around AED 240 million, representing a 20% rise, bringing the total value of leasehold contracts to AED 1.442 billion, comprising 36,432 contracts. This confirms Ajman’s position as an inspiring investment environment and aligns with the MPDA’s strategic objective of developing attractive investment policies. It also supports the Ajman Vision 2030, which aims to create a competitive business environment and an investment climate that drives economic growth.

 

The MPDA noted that the value of lease contracts continued its growth during the first quarter of 2026, compared to the same period in 2024, reaching AED 1.203 billion and registering 34,957 contracts. The value then rose to approximately AED 1.355 billion in the first quarter of 2025 through 39,009 contracts.

In this connection, His Excellency Youssuf Mohammad Al Shaiba Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of the of the MPDA’s Rental Regulation Sector, confirmed that these indicators reflect the Emirate’s leadership in investment and sustainable development across various sectors. He emphasized the success of regulatory and legislative efforts that contribute to enhancing the Emirate’s attractiveness and providing a positive, balanced, and sustainable environment that meets the needs of all segments of society.

 

The MPDA is continuing to develop its smart services system and update legislation to keep pace with rapid growth and enhance investor and stakeholder confidence in the real estate market, His Excellency added,  emphasizing that the department is intensifying its ongoing efforts to solidify the Emirate’s position as a leading and attractive destination for residents, tourists, and investors, and to foster a competitive business environment and a sustainable investment climate that supports economic growth.

 

Integrated Components

His Excellency noted that the Emirate of Ajman has integrated components and provides a safe and high-quality living environment. It continues to develop and improve its infrastructure and public services, which contributes to enhancing the Emirate’s competitiveness and increasing its ability to attract quality investments.

The increase in rental contract values ​​reflects the improved quality of services provided, the development of digital infrastructure, and the enhancement of customer experience, achieving the highest levels of satisfaction and happiness, His Excellency added, stressing the MPDA’s keenness to provide proactive services that meet the aspirations of the community and the business sector.

 

36,432 lease contracts signed in Q1 2026

His Excellency noted that the attestation of lease contracts of all types eyed significant activity during the first quarter of 2026, with a total of 36,432 contracts signed. These were distributed as follows: 25,957 residential contracts, 10,415 commercial contracts, and 60 investment contracts. This reflects the high demand in the rental market and the efficiency of the operational system in the Emirate.

 

It is worth mentioning that the directives of the wise leadership in the Emirate focus on motivating both citizens and investors by providing a comprehensive system of supportive facilities and incentives.
