The Activation of Innovated Digital Technologies in Construction & Building Services & Operations: Ajman Municipality Department Grants NFT Card to Outstanding Contractors & Consultancy Firms

Ajman Municipality & Planning Department announced the commencement of granting the NFT card, which contains a package of benefits, to outstanding contractors and consultancy firms, in the course of its ongoing efforts for enhancing the competency of contractors and consultants in the Emirate, and the creation of a competitive environment for creativity in the field of building and construction.

 

In this regard, Dr. Eng. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, the Department’s Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector, stated: “The Department is always striving to adopt innovated ideas that aim for improvement and development. Therefore, it has adopted the use of non-fungible tokens (NFT), so that the Department would be the first authority to implement the digital project on the level of Ajman Emirate.”

 

From his side, Eng. Khalifa Abdullah Al Falasi, the Department’s Director of Buildings Department, stated: “The Department has launched the project in concurrency with the “UAE Innovates 2023” month, in the course of its care for launching qualitative projects whose effect can be felt by everybody and that puts on the table the best results in the field of digital transformation and the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI), as well as the use of the latest digital technologies in construction and building services and operations, in line with the strategic objective of the sustainable development of the building and construction sector.”

 

Eng. Al Falasi continued: “The Department has found it appropriate to grant the card to a group of contractors and consultancy firms having an evaluation of 92% and higher in the stars rating system, thanks to their outstanding performance and quality of work. The selection was focused on an outstanding group to ensure that they would enjoy several benefits, including the priority of auditing and increasing the number of projects by around 20%.”
