H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi, the Chairman of Ajman Municipality & Planning Department, discussed the development of an updated comprehensive strategic plan of the Emirate’s infrastructure after the ramifications of the “rains of goodness” and the weather condition that subsisted over the past days, accompanied with heavy rainfall that has not been witnessed by the UAE since 75 years.

This took place during a meeting that was held by His Highness at His office at the Department with H.E. Abdul-Rahman Mohammed Al-Nuaimi, the Department’s Director-General, the executive directors, and the specialized directors in charge of field works.

His Highness said in the beginning of the meeting: “The vital sector is being given adequate attention, thanks to generous and ongoing directions from H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi, the Member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Ajman (May Allah Protect Him), and the follow-up of H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi, the Crown Prince of Ajman and the Chairman of the Executive Council, for the provision of a robust infrastructure within all the areas of the Emirate.” His Highness continued: “Work will go on in synergy with Ajman Vision 2030 for the preparation of a comprehensive and integrated plan that ensures full readiness for handling all long-term, medium-term, and short-term emergencies to ensure the quality of life and the happiness of society.”

His Highness stated: “The Emirate of Ajman has an advanced system of integrated infrastructure, designed according to the highest global benchmarks and standards. The Department is always working hard for foreseeing the ideal models of total improvement and desired development.”

His Highness directed the Department’s sectors to intensify efforts and joint coordination for the preparation of the main axes of the updated plan, aiming to cope with emergencies and changes of various types.

In a related context, His Highness appreciated the efforts of the field personnel who worked hard to contain the effects of the low-pressure area and who immediately handled the received reports, in cooperation with emergency teams.
