The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) has announced its full readiness to receive the holy month of Ramadan, as it is working to keep providing its services during the announced times, and also intensifying inspection campaigns on food establishments in the Emirate and all sales outlets, shopping malls, restaurants, popular kitchens, food factories, sweet stores and bakeries.
Comprehensive Oversight
The MPDA noted that oversight of food establishments goes on overt Ramadan, as part of a continuous effort to preserve consumer health and safety and ensure safe and healthy food for everyone in the Emirate.
The MPDA added that field teams executed 1,888 inspection visits during 2024, following the smart inspection system and continuous monitoring of central markets. Competencies are also working to collect food samples from various markets, establishments and promotional offers to ensure they conform with the approved specifications and regulations.
The MPDA noted that monitoring food supplies coming through Ajman Port continues, to ensure normal flow of food to the Emirate, as the holy month is characterized by increased food imports of various food items, which are examined and inspected at the MPDA’s inspection facilities in Ajman Port under the best practices by qualified inspection work teams in partnership with the MPDA’s strategic partners.
Customer Happiness Centers
The MPDA noted that the Customer Happiness Centers are open to the public from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM from Monday to Thursday, and continue to provide their services on Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Abattoir Readiness
The MPDA asserted that the Ajman Central Abattoir is open from Mondays to Thursdays over two periods; day period from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and evening period, from 8:30 PM to 11: 30 PM. On Friday, it is open from 9:00 AM to 12:00, then from 8:30 Pm to 11:0 PM. On Saturdays and Sundays, it is open from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The MPDA declared that that the Manama Abattoir is ready to receive the public during the approved announced working hours. It is open from Mondays to Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. From Fridays to Sundays, it is open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The Masfout Abattoir announced its working hours during the holy month. It is open from Saturdays to Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. On Fridays, it is open over two periods; day period from 8:00 AM to12:00 PM, and evening period from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Paid Parking Lots
The MPDA referred to the working hours of paid parking lots during the holy month, which include two periods; day period from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and evening period from 8:00 PM eight to 12: AM, from Saturday to Thursday, excluding official holidays.
Emirate Parks
The MPDA reviewed the working hours of parks, which are open to the public from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM, throughout the week.
