MPDA’s internal road construction project in Al Rawda 2 complete for AED 5 million

The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) announced the successful completion of a project involving the construction of a series of single-lane asphalt roads within the Al Rawda 2 area, with an overall investment of 5 million Dirhams. This initiative aligns with Ajman Vision 2030’s strategic objectives to develop an integrated and sustainable transportation network through enhancements in infrastructure quality and connectivity.

In this context, Dr. Engineer Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, the MPDA’s Executive Director of Infrastructure Development, affirmed that the MPDA continues to work diligently to ensure residents reach their destinations within record time. The project encompasses the construction of internal roads spanning approximately 4.5 kilometers, aimed at facilitating easier access to lands and residences, as well as advancing the area’s infrastructure to promote safer and more convenient mobility, he explained.

Bin Omair further stated that the project will contribute to elevating public safety standards for road users by equipping the thoroughfares with traffic safety elements such as directional signage and ground markings. These enhancements will bolster residents’ security and stimulate construction activities and investment within the region.

For his part, Engineer Abdullah Mustafa Al Marzouqi, the MPDA’s Director of Roads and Infrastructure, discussed the project’s phases and intended objectives, emphasizing the utilization of environmentally friendly materials which has helped reduce excavation depths, streamline the transportation of materials to and from the site, and shorten the implementation period as the chosen materials have increased road durability and lifespan while contributing to the reduction of emissions and the overall carbon footprint.
