MPDA Delegation Visits China Maritime Engineering Corporation LLC

A delegation from the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) visited the headquarters of the China Maritime Engineering Corporation LLC in the People’s Republic of China to explore avenues for collaborative efforts, exchange expertise, and review the latest developments in ongoing projects.

 

In this connection, Dr. Engineer Mohammad Ahmed bin Umair Al-Muhairi, Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector, emphasized that the MPDA is dedicated to broadening the horizons of current and future collaboration with leading global companies in the fields of development, progress, and innovation, as well as in establishing successful and impactful projects that cast a vital influence on all facets of life.

 

The partner company, headquartered in Dalian, is one of the distinguished and reputable entities specializing in infrastructure development, beach and port enhancement, and the construction of roads and bridges, Bin Umair noted, commending its commitment to deepening coordination, cooperation and partnership, having formally invited the MPDA’s professionals to visit the company and witness firsthand its live projects and the technologies employed.

 

For her part, Dr. Engineer Alia Obaid Majlad Al-Shamsi, Director of the Urban Observatory Department, who led the MPDA ‘s visiting delegation from the Ajman Corniche Development team, noted that the visit covered numerous meetings, discussions, and field tours, commencing with a meeting with the company’s General Manager, Mr. Bi Kijun, along with the executive directors and the company’s team.

 

The visiting delegation examined the developmental projects in the city of Dalian, gaining insights into the latest smart parking technologies and traffic signal management utilizing artificial intelligence, Al-Shamsi added.

 

The meetings also included a review of the progress of shared projects, discussions on timelines, performance indicators, and expected outcomes, as well as exploring opportunities to expand collaboration in future smart city initiatives.
