The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) held a benchmarking meeting with Ras Al Khaimah Municipality within the framework of enhancing joint cooperation and exchanging expertise in roadside and building permit services, with the aim to develop procedures, enhance the efficiency and quality of services provided, and ensure the best outcomes for the community.
Procedures of the Roads and Infrastructure and Buildings Departments
The meeting reviewed the most outstanding practices adopted by both parties, including regulatory policies, application requirements and procedures, turnaround time, digital transformation, and integration with relevant entities. It also reviewed the most important technical and regulatory requirements and the mechanism for providing services via digital channels.
Attendees reviewed several innovative initiatives, including a proposal to create a unified platform for issuing no-objection certificates (NOCs), automating service delivery procedures to facilitate customer experience, expedite processing, and link with relevant entities, as well as reviewing and comparing fee items for the Emaar system, building permits, and related services.
Continuity of meetings
The two parties recommended continuing periodic benchmarking meetings, which contribute to enhancing the exchange of expertise and transfer of knowledge, developing municipal work, and opening broader horizons for improving procedures and unifying standards to achieve customer satisfaction, as well as strengthening communication channels to ensure coordination and integration in service development, while providing Ras Al Khaimah Municipality with the fee items for building permit services.
For its part, the Ras Al Khaimah Municipality delegation praised the cooperation of the MPDA’s and its keenness to continue and strengthen constructive coordination and exchange of expertise, including the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions that keep pace with the aspirations of the Emirate of Ajman to provide pioneering municipal services with high efficiency, exceeding expectations, and ensuring life quality for the benefit of all.
