The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) announced the opening of the Creek Bridge on Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street in the Emirate of Ajman. The bridge includes three traffic lanes in each direction, with a total length of 570 meters. This comes as part of the MPDA’s efforts to connect infrastructure and residential communities, improve infrastructure and public services, in alignment with the strategic goal of improving the quality and connectivity of road infrastructure.
In this vein, Dr. Eng. Mohammad Ahmad bin Omair Al Muhairi, the MPDA’s Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector, explained that the MPDA has completed the construction of the main bridge, asphalt works, sidewalks, and lighting poles, along with the rainwater drainage network. The bridge will significantly play great part in enhancing the smooth flow of traffic on Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street for those coming from Ajman Port towards the Mushairef area and the Sheikh Khalifa Street intersection, He explained.
Bin Omair stated that the bridge was designed under quality and safety standards to ensure the highest levels of traffic efficiency, noting that the project’s qualified personnel and teams will be able to complete all work by the end of 2025, achieving a qualitative leap in transportation and supporting Ajman’s comprehensive development plans.
It is worth noting that the MPDA adopts clear, integrated and comprehensive plans to develop the infrastructure encompassing all areas of Ajman. Work goes on to complete development projects that serve the community and have a positive impact on tourism and investment.
