At a cost of 6 million dirhams, MPDA has completed three residential gardens covering a total area of 10,000 square meters

The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) announced the completion of three residential parks and community squares, spanning a total area of 10,000 square meters and costing AED 6 million. These projects, situated in the ALMENTIZI, Al Ruqayyib 2, and Al Mowaihat 2 areas, are part of the Public Parks and Agriculture Management’s initiative to establish six community squares from 2024 to 2026. This effort aligns with the strategic objective of increasing greeneries and implementing the recommendations outlined in Ajman’s urban plan to create parks within residential communities, providing a natural refuge for families.

In this connection, Dr. Engineer Khaled Moein Al Hosni, the MPDA’s Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector, affirmed that the MPDA places significant emphasis on increasing green areas and enhancing Ajman’s stature as one of the world’s foremost green cities, where residents can enjoy picturesque views and pure, healthy surroundings. This initiative also aims to attract tourists and visitors to relish an idyllic environment.

Al Hosni further noted that the parks and community squares have been met with great approval from the emirate’s populace, contributing to the enhancement of the life quality and children’s happiness. He praised the efforts of the skilled professionals executing greening projects that beautify the emirate with verdant landscapes and create natural havens in every locale.

Ideal Parks for All

Mr. Ahmad Saif Al Muhairi, the MPDA’s Director of the Department of Agriculture and Public Gardens, spoke of the features of these parks, each of which includes a shaded, free playground area, pergolas with seating, walking paths, and parking lots. He emphasized that the parks comply with sustainability standards, incorporating green spaces with automatic irrigation systems for recycled water and solar-powered lighting.

Al Muhairi highlighted the MPDA’s commitment to creating parks that cater to all members of the community, placing a particular focus on people with determination. He noted that all parks have been designed with the necessary standards in mind, providing designated parking spaces for them, as it is our duty to offer the best and ensure their integration into society.

It is noteworthy that the MPDA plans to establish three new residential parks in Al-Jurf, Al-Mowaihat 1, and ALMENTIZI during the current year, 2025.
