Ajman Municipality and Planning Department has announced the completion of the first phase of the Ajman industrial roads development and maintenance project, valued at AED 26 million. This initiative aligns with Ajman Vision 2030, aiming to establish an integrated and sustainable mobility system, and the strategic objective of enhancing infrastructure quality and connectivity.
Dr. Eng. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector at the Department, highlighted that the project reflects the emirate’s integrated infrastructure development plans. It aims to improve traffic flow and contribute to achieving the strategic objective of enhancing the efficiency and quality of transport and infrastructure projects in the emirate.
3 Lanes in Amman Street
Dr. Eng. Bin Omair emphasized that the project aims to develop Amman Street into three lanes in each direction, including the installation of a rainwater drainage network and lighting poles. The plan also involves constructing a signalized intersection at Amr bin Al-Aas Street and Amman Street, as well as upgrading the intersection of Beirut Street and Amman Street. This initiative is seen as a significant improvement to the emirate’s infrastructure, contributing to enhanced traffic safety.
Dr. Eng. Bin Omair stated that qualified professionals have been entrusted with implementing the project, which is located in a vital area with continuous traffic flow. He highlighted that the project is expected to yield positive outcomes for all stakeholders.
Ease of traffic flow between major streets
Eng. Abdullah Mustafa Al Marzouqi, the Director of the Roads and Infrastructure Department, highlighted that the development project aims to ease traffic flow on the main roads within Ajman’s industrial zone.
Notably, the project has been designed in line with highest international standards for intersection implementation, ensuring safer and more convenient access to various destinations.
