The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) received H.E. Alberto Alejandro Farje, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to the UAE. The Ambassador was welcomed by H.E. Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the MPDA, in the presence of several executive directors and officials from the Embassy of Peru.
Commenting on the visit, H.E. Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi said that the MPDA, under the direct guidance of H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the MPDA, is committed to strengthening partnerships and enhancing coordination with leading entities across the UAE to achieve results that serve the wider community.
A Strategy Aligned with Ajman Vision 2030
During the meeting, the delegation reviewed the MPDA’s strategy and ongoing efforts to ensure alignment with the directives of Ajman Vision 2030 as well as the MPDA’s commitment to sustainable development goals. The MPDA has set seven core objectives and launched a series of pioneering projects and initiatives focused on innovation, community, and the environment.
Discussions also covered several major projects and initiatives currently being implemented by the MPDA, including the Ajman Beach Expansion Project, aimed at boosting the Emirate’s tourism and environmental infrastructure and the “15-Minute City” initiative designed to provide residents with access to essential services within a short geographic and time frame, thereby improving ease of access and quality of life.
Flagship Projects and Initiatives
The MPDA showcased the Smart Parking Project, which contributes to improving urban mobility efficiency, the “Rased” Project, an innovative smart solution for monitoring quality-of-life indicators, and the Sludge-to-Energy Project, a landmark step toward achieving environmental sustainability and a circular economy by converting waste into clean energy sources.
The delegation praised the MPDA’s efforts and integrated approach to delivering high-quality services to the community, while advancing along the path of comprehensive and sustainable development. They also expressed interest in strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise between the two sides, fostering positive impacts across all aspects of life.
