The Municipality & Planning Department – Ajman received a delegation from Sharjah City Municipality in the course of the ongoing efforts for holding standard comparative sessions that aim to exchange expertise and become familiarized with the best practices in the field of the management of bachelor accommodation policies and the certification of lease contracts.
The visiting delegation was received by Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Wahab Al-Khaja, the Director of the Department’s Control & Municipal Inspection Department, who emphasized: “The Department is striving to bolster constructive cooperation and develop work between governmental bodies.”
The meeting reviewed the bachelor accommodation policy and the operation mechanisms thereof, in addition to the delivery of a detailed explanation of the mechanisms for the certification of lease contracts for the categories of citizens, commercial and investment.
The meeting witnessed the discussion of the initiatives and experiences in relation to handling the violators of the bachelor accommodation code, as well as the explanation of the mechanism for the calculation of the value percentages of various lease contracts.
The visiting delegation reviewed the best applicable practices in the field of the control and inspection of bachelor accommodations and the applicable monetary penalties in accordance with the regulations in force, beside the mechanism for the certification of contracts at the Department.
Both parties recommended the continuation of cooperation in various aspects and common interests for the attainment of the best results that serve the interest of the society and provide ideal services for everybody.
