Ajman Municipality: Main Sponsor of Emirates Agriculture Conference & Exhibition 2025

The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman has announced its role as the main sponsor for the inaugural Emirates Agricultural Conference and Exhibition 2025. Organized by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, this event aligns with the UAE’s vision to support the local agriculture sector and enhance its contribution to sustainable national food security. The conference will take place at the ADNEC Centre Al Ain from May 28 to 31.

In this context, Dr. Eng. Khalid Moeen Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector, highlighted the Department’s commitment to sponsoring and actively participating in the event. He noted that Ajman Municipality will showcase its agricultural projects and efforts made within this vital sector. Dr. Al Hosani described the conference as a strategic platform that brings together farmers, investors, experts, government bodies, and scientific research institutions to facilitate knowledge sharing, exchange experiences, and unveil the latest innovations and technologies in sustainable agriculture.

Dr. Eng. Al Hosani stated that the Emirates Agricultural Conference and Exhibition aligns with “Plant the Emirates” National Programme, which seeks to honour the legacy of late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan by planting the UAE and enhancing the green landscape across the nation. This initiative supports the agricultural development trends in the UAE and aims to achieve sustainable national food security. Furthermore, it encourages the local community to engage in the self-production of essential agricultural products, expand the green areas within the country, and bolster efforts to protect the environment, while also fostering a positive perception of locally produced goods that are rich in nutritional value.

Dr. Al Hosani also expressed the Department’s pride in participating in this significant event, which strengthens the environmental sustainability system by contributing to the reduction of the carbon footprint through local products. He emphasized that the Department supports all events that align with its strategy and objectives, as well as with Ajman Vision 2030, to promote environmental sustainability and achieve the strategic goal of protecting biodiversity and conserving natural resources.

For his part, Mr. Ahmed Saif Al Muhairi, the MPDA’s Director of the Agriculture and Public Parks Department, stated that the Department aims to actively engage with visitors during the conference through its platform. The Department has ensured that skilled professionals are present to effectively communicate and showcase its efforts in the agricultural sector.

Al Muhairi highlighted that the Department will provide a briefing to visitors, including agricultural producers and farm owners from across the UAE, local authorities and universities, agricultural technology firms, as well as investors, businessmen, academics, community members, youth, and school students. This briefing will showcase the outcomes of the Ajman Agriculture Award, which has attained significant successes over 16 cycles. Furthermore, it will address the Emirate’s parks and both current and future projects aimed at expanding green spaces, with the goal of enhancing Ajman’s status as one of the leading green cities globally.
