Ajman Municipality and Planning Department (MPDA) announced that it is totally ready for Eid al-Fitr. It will continue to process transactions of the public that are related to all MPDA’ services through electronic and smart channels only, as part of its keenness to providing the best services to the Emirate’s residents, visitors, and tourists.
Community Health is a Priority
The MPDA stated that the health of the community and visitors is a top priority. All field observation and inspection teams are conducting intensive campaigns around the clock to ensure that food and healthcare facilities in the Emirate meet the approved health regulations. This is part of its efforts exerted to preserve the health and safety of the community.
The MPDA has prepared a comprehensive plan to implement inspection and observation campaigns on food and healthcare facilities, which have more visitors during the Eid holidays.
The MPDA conducts periodic and intensive campaigns on food preparation and catering facilities, consumer complexes, cooperative associations, and public kitchens to ensure that they comply with health and safety standards, guarantee quality of foodstuff, and handle complaints around the clock. The MPDA explained that it intensifies its efforts to ensure that the facilities meet the necessary health requirements for food preparation and catering and adhere to approved health practices.
Inspections at the Food Trade Department will continue during Eid al-Fitr to monitor imported food shipments in coordination with strategic partners, in a manner that ensures the smooth flow of food imports to the Emirate and the State, enhances food security in the State, and facilitates procedures for customers by using the MPDA’s electronic services and work systems used to serve customers.
Abattoir Preparations and Working Hours
The MPDA also explained that the Central Abattoir has completed all its preparations to work during Eid al-Fitr holiday. The Central Abattoir will be open from the 1st of Shawwal to the 3rd of Shawwal, from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The Abattoir will be closed on the 4th of Shawwal for maintenance, cleaning, and disinfection.
Masfout and Manama Abattoirs
The MPDA pointed out that the Masfout Abattoir will receive customers during a morning shift and an evening shift. The first shift will begin on the 1st of Shawwal, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and the evening shift will begin from 4:00 PM. to 7:00 PM. The Abattoir will receive customers from the 2nd to 3rd of Shawwal, from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and the evening shift continues from 4:00 PM. to 7:00 PM. The Manama Abattoir will receive customers from the 1st to 3rd of Shawwal, from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The MPDA urged the public to slaughter at abattoirs and highlighted the danger of slaughtering outside approved abattoirs to ensure that meat is healthy for consumers. The Municipal Observation and Inspection Department will take appropriate actions against the people who violate this, and urged the public to report any violations of this by calling the hotline 80070.
Emirate Parks
The Agriculture and Public Parks Department announced that all parks and public facilities are open during Eid al-Fitr, from the 1st to 3rd of Shawwal, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM. Al Rashidiya Park will receive visitors from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The Agriculture and Public Parks Department also noted that various events will be held in the parks.
Free Paid Car Parks
The MPDA announced that all paid car parks will be free during Eid al-Fitr holiday, from the 1st to 3rd of Shawwal, and that the service in those car park will be resumed on the 4th of Shawwal.
Ajman’s Streets will be decorated with 1050 Designs
In celebration of Eid al-Fitr, the MPDA decorated the Emirate’s streets, parks, squares, and bridges, as well as Masfout and Manama, with 1050 designs of Eid greetings and illuminated signs that reflect the public’s joy of Eid Al Fitr. The MPDA wished that May Allah repeat Eid al-Fitr for all of us in prosperity and blessings, during which time our country in goodness, progress, and leadership.
