The MPDA attaches paramount importance to air quality and combating pollutants of all kinds, Al-Hosani noted, referring to the current network of approved measurement stations available in the emirate consisting of seven stations distributed across the emirate. “We also have a future plan to increase the number of station to ten over years to come to keep pace with Ajman’s urban development.

He said that the stations have been classified as approved by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment. Monitoring through the stations played great part in raising the air quality level, as the index recorded 93.37% in the same period in 2022, while it recorded 87.85% in the first half of 2021, proving the emirate’s advance in the field of green cities, which are a preferred place to live and a perfect destination for tourism and investment.
