Ajman Excellence Program Organizes Field Visit to Review Star System Practices in Ajman Municipality

Ajman Government Excellence Program has launched an initiative to exchange expertise and successful experiences, through holding a series of interactive meetings between government entities in the Emirate of Ajman to exchange the best practices and expertise in the field of government excellence. The initiative focuses on boosting a culture of cooperation and shared learning by highlighting successful models in the government sector and encouraging innovation in the development of government services and processes.

Based on the Ajman government’s commitment to promoting the exchange of expertise and knowledge between government entities and striving to improve the quality of government services in accordance with the best international standards, the Ajman Government Excellence Program organized a field visit to the Municipality and Planning Department to review the practices of implementing the global star system for rating services.

 

The visit aimed to showcase the most outstanding practices that contributed to the Department’s City Customer Center receiving a (6-star) rating under the international star system, as the Municipality and Planning Department presented a comprehensive presentation on the procedural and technical initiatives and innovations it has adopted to improve customer experience and enhance service delivery efficiency, and its experience in receiving the award. The visit also included a briefing for employees from participating entities on the Customer Happiness Center, to learn about the center’s work mechanisms and the outstanding and developmental initiatives it implements.

 

Engineer Noura Rashid Shattaf, Executive Director of the Strategy and Customer Happiness Sector at the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman, emphasized that the Department’s commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience was the primary motivation behind achieving this rating, indicatting that the integration between work teams and the reliance on innovation and digital transformation contributed to building a sustainable service model that meets community aspirations and enhances the emirate’s competitiveness.

 

Moza Al Shamsi, Excellence Expert at the Ajman Government Excellence Program, confirmed that this visit reflects the program’s commitment to providing effective knowledge platforms that enable the exchange of best practices between government entities, pointing out that sharing successful experiences enhances opportunities for development and integration among entities and supports efforts to achieve sustainable institutional excellence. She added that the program will continue its role in enabling entities to adopt continuous improvement methodologies that contribute to improving the quality of services and enhancing the competitiveness of the Emirate of Ajman.

 

The session witnessed active participation from several government entities in the Emirate of Ajman, including the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation, the Ajman Police G. H. Q, the Ajman Ports and Customs Department, and the Ajman Free Zones Authority. Approximately 25 employees representing the aforesaid entities participated in the visit.

 

This initiative is part of the Ajman Government Excellence Program’s efforts to disseminate leading practices and motivate a positive competitive environment among government entities that contributes to achieving Ajman’s vision of leadership in government performance and enhancing the quality of life for the emirate’s community.
