Ajman Municipality Welcomes 15 Students of the 16th Edition of “Ajyal 2025” Program

The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) has welcomed 15 male and female students of “Ajyal 2025” Summer Training Program, which began on July 14 and will run until August 7, 2025. This initiative comes as part of the MPDA’s ongoing efforts to nurture and qualify young national talents and equip them with essential administrative and technical skills to join the labour market. The program offers students a chance to experience a real-world work environment in line with the goals of the Ajman Vision 2023 aimed at developing a capable national workforce that can achieve the Emirate’s forward-looking aspirations.

 

In this vein, Mohammad Ali Al Mahri, Director of the MPDA’s Human Resources Department, asserted that holding the 16th Edition of “Ajyal” Program translates its continued success in achieving its goals since its launch in 2010, adding that the program is kicking off under the direct guidance of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chair of the MPDA, and with the follow-up of His Excellency Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the MPDA, out of their keenness to train promising young generations and nurture their professional awareness to serve their country in myriad sectors.

 

Hands-on Training

“The program aims at developing students’ comprehensive job skills by assigning them across various departments and sectors within the MPDA, where participants gain hands-on experience in multiple fields, including administration, technical services, and fieldwork, which in turn broadens their understanding of workplace responsibilities and allow them refine their personal and professional abilities”, Al Mahri added.

 

“The program offers daily training sessions to engage students in real-life tasks under the supervision of qualified and experienced staff, giving them the opportunity of becoming familiar with workplace systems, enhancing their skills in a real-world setting, and strengthening their communication, teamwork, and innovation capabilities” he explained.

 

For their part, the students voiced their pride at taking part in the Ajyal program, emphasizing that this valuable experience represents a significant milestone in their educational and professional journey. They noted that the program offers valuable insights and real-world experiences that will help them plan their futures with deep-rooted confidence.

 

Orientation Sessions

It is worth mentioning that the MPDA’s organized orientation sessions for the participants, which included a detailed overview of the Municipality’s work environment and procedures across various departments. The orientation session also involved assigning students to relevant departments to ensure they gain maximum benefit from the month-long training period.
