Dr. Eng. Khalid Moen Al Hosani, the MPDA’s Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector, affirmed that the MPDA’s qualified competencies adopt an integrated and comprehensive plan to cover all food establishments in the Emirate of Ajman, and to ensure adherence to the requirements and standards related to food safety, as part of the keenness on community health and safety.

Al Hosani explained that inspectors conduct round-the-clock periodic visits, within the framework of continuous monitoring that the Department is committed to, to maintain the Emirate’s position as a leading city in the field of health and safe food quality, and to build a sustainable food system that enhances quality of life levels.

Al Hosani praised the establishments’ commitment to health and safety standards, and their continuous responsiveness to the guidance provided by the MPDA, emphasizing that the competencies hold educational and awareness workshops throughout the year to disseminate a positive culture that benefits everyone.

The inspection visits include restaurants and popular kitchens, food factories, retail outlets, men’s and women’s salons, and cafes. Field teams also rely on smart inspection systems and continuous monitoring of central markets, and specialized competencies work to collect food samples from various markets, establishments, and promotional offers to verify their conformity with approved specifications and regulations.

The MPDA urges the public to contact the Ajman Call Center 24/7 via the number (80070) to submit their suggestions, inquiries, or register their complaints, emphasizing that regulatory work is a shared responsibility between the competent authorities and the public, to ensure the achievement of the best results.
