Ajman Municipality Department completes all Preparations to welcome Eid Al-Adha and Announces the continuous Receipt of Transactions via Smart Systems

The Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman announced its full readiness to receive the blessed Eid Al-Adha, where it will continue to receive public transactions related to all Department services through electronic and smart channels only, as part of its keenness to provide the best services to the Emirate’s residents, visitors and tourists.

 

Slaughterhouse preparations and working hours

The MPDA stated that the central slaughterhouse will open its doors to the public on the first day of Eid, immediately after the blessed Eid Al-Adha prayer until four o’clock in the afternoon, while work will continue during the Eid days from seven in the morning to four in the afternoon, indicating that it has provided qualified cadres of technicians and manpower to serve customers, and has also examined the equipment, made sure that it is ready to accommodate all kinds of sacrificial animals and provided all the necessary needs for the workflow in the slaughterhouse.

 

The MPDA noted that the slaughterhouse will receive customers by vehicles only, indicating that the medical staff will examine the sacrificial animals before and after slaughter in accordance with international standards to ensure the safety of the animals and that they are free from diseases in order to preserve consumer health and safety. The sacrificial animals will also be numbered for ease of tracking.

 

Masfout and Manama Slaughterhouses

The MPDA indicated that Masfout Slaughterhouse will receive customers throughout Eid days from seven in the morning to seven in the evening, while Manama Slaughterhouse will receive customers on the first day of Eid immediately after the Eid prayer until four in the evening, and work will continue for the rest of Eid days from seven in the morning to four in the afternoon.

 

Livestock Market

The MPDA indicated that the work teams ensured the readiness of the incoming shipments for the livestock market, which met safety standards. “Staff continue periodic inspections of the livestock market, examination of the health status of the animals in the pens, and ensuring that all animals are in good health and fit for human consumption”, it continued.

 

Reporting Cases of Violation

The MPDA called on the public to slaughter the sacrificial animals in the slaughterhouse and not to deal with butchers. The Municipal Control and Inspection Department will monitor those violating instructions and confiscate the sacrificial animals slaughtered outside the scope of the law and fine the violators, asking the public to report the violating cases by calling the direct number 80070.

 

Extensive Inspection Campaigns

The MPDA has prepared a comprehensive plan to implement inspection and control campaigns on food and health facilities, which see high demand during the holidays, thus contribution to preserving public health in the community. Inspection teams continue to work around the clock to follow up on the establishments’ compliance with health requirements.

 

Parking free

The MPDA announced that all parking lots subject to fees will be free during Eid Al-Adha holiday, from Tuesday, June 27, 2023 until Friday, June 30 of this year. Paid parking service will resume on Saturday July 1, 2023.

 

Receipt of Commercial Shipments

With regard to receiving food shipments, the MPDA indicated that the Food Trade Office will continue to coordinate with the Port and Customs Department in Ajman, to synchronize working hours and ensure the continuity of checking and releasing food containers.

 

The MPDA confirmed the continuity of approval to receive the transfer of food shipments to the companies of the Emirate of Ajman on the federal ZAD system from other ports to the warehouses of the companies in the Emirate of Ajman, explaining the scheduling of the inspection of the transferred containers according to time, and the continuity of approving requests for the sanitary release of food shipments.

 

Decorating the Streets of Emirate of Ajman

The MPDA decorated the Emirate’s streets, gardens, squares, bridges, and Masfout and Manama regions, with congratulatory expressions and nearly 2,000 illuminated billboards, which reflect the joy of the masses on the blessed Eid al-Adha.

 

Parks Open

The Agriculture and Parks Department indicated that all parks and public facilities will open their doors during the days of Eid Al-Adha from 4 pm to 11 pm, and Al Rashidiya Park will receive its visitors from eight in the morning until eleven in the evening.
