MPDA announces readiness to receive Eid Al-Adha

The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) has announced the completion of its preparations to receive Eid Al-Adha, as it will receive transactions related to its services through smart channels, in line with its efforts to make it easier for customers and enable them to complete their transactions anytime and anywhere.

 

Slaughterhouses serve population

The MPDA asserted that slaughterhouses are fully equipped, counting on the medical staff who will examine the animal sacrifices before and after slaughter as per international standards to ensure their safety and that they are disease-free to preserve the health and safety of consumers. The central slaughterhouse will open to the public on Arafa Day from 7:00 am to 3:00 p.m. Work will continue on the first day of Eid right after the Eid prayer until 4:00 pm, while it will continue from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm during the rest of days. The MPDA has provided qualified technicians and labor to serve customers, and examined the equipment and ensured its readiness to accommodate all types of animal sacrifices and provided all the needs necessary for the workflow in the slaughterhouse.

 

Masfout and Manama Slaughterhouses

The MPDA noted that the Masfout Slaughterhouse will be open from the Arafa Day until the third day of Eid Al-Adha over two periods; from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, and then from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, while the Manama Slaughterhouse will receive customers on Saturday, June 15th 2024, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, and work there will continue on the first day of Eid right after the Eid prayer until 4:00 pm, and from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm over the rest of days.

The MPDA called on the public to slaughter the animal sacrifices in the slaughterhouse and not to deal with mobile slaughterers, as the Municipal Control and Inspection Department will work to monitor those who violate the instructions issued by confiscating the animal sacrifices slaughtered outside the slaughterhouses and fining them, asking the public to report violations by contacting the direct number 80070.

 

Livestock market

The MPDA stated that the work teams ensured the readiness of the shipments coming to the livestock market and that they met safety standards, adding that the staff continues periodic inspections of the livestock market and inspects the health status of the animals in the pens and ensures that all animals are healthy and fit for human consumption.

 

Everyone’s health is priority

The MPDA has prepared a comprehensive plan to conduct inspection and control campaigns on food and health facilities, which are in high demand during the Eid periods, a matter that plays great part in preserving public health in society. Inspection teams continue their work around the clock to monitor if the facilities fulfill and comply with health requirements.

 

Receiving commercial shipments

For receiving food shipments, the MPDA noted that the Food Trade Office will continue to coordinate with the Port and Customs Department in Ajman, to synchronize working hours to ensure continuity of inspection and release of food containers.

The MPDA confirmed the continuity of approval to receive the transfer of food shipments for companies in the Emirate of Ajman on the Federal ZAD System from other ports to the warehouses of companies in the Emirate, adding that the inspection of the transferred containers has been scheduled by time, and requests for the health release of food shipments have been continuously approved.

 

Free parking subject to fees

The MPDA announced the exemption of all parking lots subject to fees during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, from June 16th-18th with work resuming on 19th June 2024.

 

Decorating Ajman’s streets

The MPDA has decorated the streets, parks, squares and bridges in the Emirate and the Masfout and Manama regions, with congratulatory expressions and illuminated billboards of about 2,000 ones, in celebration of the Eid.

 

Parks open

The Department of Agriculture and Public Parks stated that all parks and public facilities will be open during the days of Eid Al-Adha from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Al Rashidiya Park will receive visitors from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. The MPDA congratulated residents and visitors on the Eid Al-Adha, wishing all a perfect holiday in an ideal atmosphere.
