The Municipality & Planning Department – Ajman entered a contract with Bee’ah Company – Sharjah “Bee’ah” for outsourcing cleaning and public health pest control works within the city center sector. The signature of the contract was witnessed by H.H. Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Chairman of the Municipality & Planning Department – Ajman. The contract was signed by H.E. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, the Director-General of the Municipality Department, on behalf of the Department, and by H.E. Khalid Eissa Al Heraimel, Bee’ah’s CEO, on behalf of “Bee’ah”.

 

H.H. Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi confirmed that preserving the environment is one of our most important goals, and the creation of a green Emirate whose population would enjoy a carefree life in a healthy atmosphere is one of our most significant tasks. Therefore, we are working hard for the enhancement of the sustainable projects that promote Ajman to become a safe and creative city in all fields.

 

From his side, H.E. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, the Director-General of the Municipality Department, stated that the Department is aiming to foster all aspects of constructive collaboration with the various entities specialized in the environmental domain for the preservation of the ideal and aesthetic image of the Emirate and for the creation of a happy community that is enjoying all means of welfare and a carefree life in a pure atmosphere and a clean and disease-free environment.

 

From his side, H.E. Khalid Eissa Al Heraimel, stated that “Bee’ah” is working hard to extend the bonds and horizons of business with all entities for undertaking the various activities in the fields that include consultations, studies, civil safety and health consultations, and metal waste collection works, in addition to nonmetal waste collection, while he conveyed his pride of the partnership with the Department, which is not sparing an effort for the delivery of the required outcomes.

 

Both parties have agreed on the necessity to set forth a framework for all the aspects of cooperation in environmental fields and to specify the role of every one of them, as the Department has undertaken to provide “Bee’ah” with all technical stipulations and guiding data, including schedules, geographical distribution, and the statistics related to generated waste and infrastructure from the lengths of main and submain streets and the intersections of traffic signs, and the details of public parking areas.

 

The Department has undertaken to perform the tasks needed for the facilitation of all the challenges that could face the second party within the Department’s scope of tasks, and in what shall not be inconsistent with its policies and strategies applicable. Furthermore, both parties have agreed on the responsibilities to be undertaken by every party for the completion of the tasks related to public cleanness, pest control, and periodic sterilization.

 

Under the contract with the Department, “Bee’ah” will perform the operations of waste collection, city and beaches cleaning, street sweeping, and garbage bin disinfection services. It will offer its services to more than 240,000 people in Ajman in the areas of Al-Rashidiya, Liwara, Al-Nuaimiya, Al-Nakheel, and Al-Rumaila, relying on a team that contains more than 400 employees and 50 heavy equipment and vehicles.

 

The clauses of the contract constitute new steps in the journey of sustainability within the UAE and meet ambitions in the field of waste disposal, the preservation of the health and safety of the population, and environmental protection, in conformity with the objectives of Ajman 2021.

 

“Bee’ah” presented before H.H. the Sheikh the modern cars and smart services, stating that it will rely on embedding sustainability with technology for the provision of advanced waste management solutions, as 250 tons of residential, commercial and industrial waste. i.e., an equivalent of around 150 cars, will be handled daily within the Emirate.

 

“Bee’ah” will be in charge of the provision of special equipment for handling huge waste, as the company will provide large bags for houses in the areas to enable the population to easily dispose huge waste, such as household items, furniture, and organic waste, which will be later collected by the company. In addition, “Bee’ah” will develop an innovative recycling center and an educational center to enhance social responsibility and to encourage the public to think and work in a more sustainable manner and to reduce waste.

 

It is notable to mention that “Bee’ah” is a pioneering company in the field of sustainable development, as it has been working, since its incorporation in 2007, on the accomplishment of the desired objectives and the instilment of the rules of a strong partnership with various utility organizations in order to follow-up the performance of services whose impact can be felt by every member of the society.
