Mr. Ahmed Saif Al Muhairi, Director of the Agriculture and Public Parks Department, explained that the Department was acting based on direct instructions from His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department, with follow-up from His Excellency Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department. The privatization project includes the implementation of public and private agricultural projects and agricultural maintenance works in public spaces, including all types of public parks, streets, and public facilities in the city and in the areas of Masfout and Al Manama.

Al Muhairi added that the Emirate of Ajman had accomplished many achievements throughout its journey to become one of the leading green cities in the world.

Public parks are in fact spread across the Emirate and the Department significantly and clearly prioritizes their improvement to maintain the city’s beautiful image.

Al Muhairi continued to say that the Department had adopted strategic goals that it employed all efforts to achieve, noting that the Department was working according to the 2030 urban plan set for the cities of Ajman, Masfout and Al Manama. The plan aims to plant 5% of the Emirate’s surface

He further stated that agricultural maintenance and expanding cultivated areas across the Emirate should be everyone’s responsibility and objective as we all seek to improve green facilities and to make the Emirate more attractive to residents and tourists.

Al Muhairi then clarified that the Department was seeking to support highly competent and experienced entities in the fields of agricultural maintenance and beautification based on its belief that cooperation and common goals are the key to achieving the wise government’s vision of a happy and safe Emirate for all.
