The Department continues work to Complete Al Bustan 8 development project in Liwara ​

The Department of Municipality & Planning in Ajman announced the continuation of work to complete Al Bustan 8 development project in Liwara, one of the most vital areas in the Emirate. These efforts aim to achieve a balanced urban development and compliance with Ajman 2040 Strategic Urban Planning Recommendations.

 

In this respect, His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Municipality & Planning in Ajman stressed that the Department constantly and  relentlessly seeks to develop and restore the old districts in the Emirate and provide them with an integrated infrastructure and all welfare and good living requirements and improve all the regions of the Emirate so as to be a comprehensive and modern city that meets all requirements and needs of its population, visitors, tourists and investors.

 

His Highness added that a development plan has been prepared to cover all the regions of the Emirate. For this reason, the Department found that the goals of, and mechanisms for, development of old districts need reconsideration, in light of the prior experiences and comparative studies used in the current project. He added that the project will make the optimal use of the economic and urban value and link the same to the waterfront and Ajman City Centre and increase its attractiveness by providing a developed infrastructure and diversifying land uses.

 

His Highness indicated that the project will maximize the real estate resources through the increase of build-up area and density, strengthening the life quality and the region’s attractiveness, wherein the qualified competences and the working groups will work on increasing multiuse and commercial land use areas and community facilities, achieving an integration of land use and City Centre and Waterfront region, improving the visual image of the region by providing a modern design and improving internal movement through the cancellation of irregular ways and streets in addition to developing internal streets and increasing areas.

 

For his part, Dr. Eng. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector in the Department provided His Highness and His Excellency Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, with a detailed description of the project, including the project goals and vision, the implementation phases and the latest updates of the development of the region which is situated at the heart of the most distinctive regions of Ajman in the City Centre and close to the beach and the existing tourist projects in Ajman.   

 

Dr. Mohammed bin Omair valued the work team who worked on establishing and approving clear standards of classification of old districts, determining the enablers and challenges through the consideration of the current situation of the region. He stressed that the work is in progress for the desired development through improving the internal movement, in addition to increasing the buildings’ heights as a result of area increase and streets expansion.
