Department Of Municipality Implements Arqubna is Clean Initiative at Its Fifth Cycle to Raise Awareness and Preserve Environment

The Department of Environment and its Development at Ajman’s Department of Municipality and Planning implemented Arqubna (Our Place) is Clean Initiative at Sheikh Ammar and Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Streets and Marina Area, to maintain the aesthetic image of the Emirate and raise awareness among visitors of such areas about the importance to keep places clean in order to safeguard the safety and health of all people.

 

Eng. Khalid Moeen Al Hosani stressed that the initiative constitutes one of the environment initiatives and clean-up campaigns launched by the Department, under the direct guidance of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department and the follow-up of His Excellency Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi, the Director General of the Department, in order that the Emirate be one of the most important green cities whose population and visitors enjoy clean, healthy and safe environment.

 

Al Hosani added that the Department is conscious of deep awareness of all community segments and their willingness to cooperate in implementing, and helping to ensure the success of environmental initiatives, wherein volunteers rush to participate to preserve environment. “Open areas are more willingly attended at winter season, which requires that these areas be kept clean and positive awareness policy be spread” he stressed.

 

This initiative involved a number of volunteers from the Department and different regions of the Emirate as well as community members including visitors of land areas in Ajman who observed all preventive measures in light of Covid-19 pandemic.
