Department of Municipality carries out a Campaign for the Demolition of 17 Abandoned Buildings in coordination with Masfoot Police Station

Masfoot Municipality carried out a campaign for the demolition over 17 abandoned buildings in the various regions of the City, in coordination with Masfout Police Station.


In this context, Mr. Saif bin Ghadeer, Director of Masfoot Office, said that, over the last period, the Municipality has identified the abandoned buildings, adding that the Municipality formed teams to follow up the demolition process and managed to demolish 55% of the identified buildings.


Bin Ghadeer said that, at the directions of HH Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department and the follow-up of His Excellency Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, the Municipality seeks to consolidate efforts and continue working diligently to identify and demolish all the abandoned buildings in Masfoot in early 2021, in order to eliminate this phenomenon and provide a safe environment for society members.


Bin Ghadeer added that the Municipality acts upon policies and directions of UAE leaders and seeks to establish a perfect and safe life for citizens and residents and combat all negative phenomena.


Bin Ghadeer outlined the hard work made by the Engineering Affairs Division at the Municipality, which carried out the campaign for the demolition of abandoned stores in Ghalfa, removed the old Electricity Room and buildings behind Mzeira Cemetery as well as the crumbling fencing. He stressed that the qualified staff and the working people will continue efforts to eradicate the abandoned crumbling buildings.
