Ajman Municipality and Planning Department in Service of Residents and Visitors during Eid Al-Fitr

1 Jun 2019

The Ajman Municipality and Planning Department announced that it is fully ready to serve the emirate’s residents and visitors during all days of Eid.

The Department stated that it will continue the inspections the Public Health Department commenced in Ramadan, which reached 1950 inspection visits to food and health establishments in Ramadan of 1440 AH, in 3 work shifts covering days and nights. The Department intends to implement large-scale campaigns to inspect men’s and women’s salons in the emirate in order to ensure the application of good health practices and preserve the health and safety of society, in addition to organizing inspection campaigns of establishments that make and sell Eastern and Asian sweets, which gain higher traction during Eid Al-Fitr, to ensure consumer safety.

The Department declared that the health and happiness of individuals is one of the key objectives it aims to realize by employing work teams that spare no effort in organizing thorough health and food inspection campaigns in different parts of the emirate, especially during Eid season.

The Food Trade Office of the Public Health Department, located in the Port of Ajman, will make sure to inspect food shipments exported from and imported to the emirate.

On a different note, the Department stated that the Central Slaughterhouse is fully equipped to handle costumers from 9 am until 12 pm and during the evening shift from 10 pm to 12 am.

The Central Slaughterhouse will receive customers on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr from 7:30 am to 1 pm.

High alert has been declared to fulfill customer needs for livestock and sheep slaughter, especially in light of the rising demand in this period, by taking precautionary maintenance measures of all slaughter lines, equipment, tools and facilities to ensure the full working capacity of the slaughterhouse. In addition, Department will spare no effort in monitoring central meat, poultry and fish markets.

The Public Health Department has placed a higher number of trained staff in the slaughterhouse during peak periods to ensure smooth work progress and excellent service, discouraging people from using the services of street vendors to avoid negative health consequences and ensure their safety.

The Department welcomes direct contact through its various communication channels and hotline: 80070, and wishes the emirate a blessed Eid Al-Fitr.
