The Municipality & Planning Department \u2013 Ajman organized a majlis captioned: \u201cNational Identity: Belongingness & Responsibility\u201d, at Al-Watan Majlis within the Community Majalis Initiative, with the presence of senior citizens and representatives of the Ministry of Family, the Ministry of Education, and the Tourism Development Department, beside community members, who interacted with the axes of the Majlis in a high patriotic spirit.<\/p>\n

The Emirati Legacy<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n The Majlis is being organized in the course of the Department\u2019s efforts to instill the concept of national identity and bolster the values of belongingness and communal responsibility, and to shed light on the role of organizations in the preservation of the authentic Emirati legacy and carry on the same to upcoming generations, aligning with the trends of Ajman Vision 2030 for building an inclusive, cohesive and empowered society, and in implementation of the objective for the enhancement of the values of the united society, along with safeguarding the Emirati identity.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In this regard, Dr. Eng. Khalid Moeen Al Hosani, the Executive Director of the Department\u2019s Public Heath & Environment Sector, welcomed the attendants, emphasizing: \u201cEvery individual of the society is proud of the national identity that forms the firm basis of our belongingness and loyalty to this precious homeland. We take pride in the gains that have been achieved by our country under the leadership of our wise government.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Dr. Eng. Al Hosani continued: \u201cThe Department is keen to launch several initiatives that enhance such values, in cooperation with our partners in the various sectors, including the aesthetic appearance initiative and the taking care of the national symbols that reflect the positive image of the Emirate of Ajman, and present it as a vibrant city of value and authenticity.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Returning the Favor to Founding Fathers<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n The Majlis included the participation of Dr. Salem Al Nar, the former member of the Federal National Council (FNC), who emphasized: \u201cNational identity is a firm basis of the unity and renaissance of the UAE. Our pride of our authentic values and traditions is an extension to the approach of the founding fathers, who instilled within us the love of the homeland and working for the homeland. We return them the favor by the preservation of the federation and bolstering the spirit of unity amongst the children of the UAE, by which the journey of good and building continues.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Various Events of Authenticity<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n From his side, Abdullah Al Baker, the Director of Events at the Tourism Development Department \u2013 Ajman, said: \u201cThe Department is preparing to organize a series of events on the occasion of the Flag Day and the National Day, to celebrate the symbols and achievements of our country.
