According to the Department&#8217;s 2024 Report, the treated quantity of wastewater has reached 55,807,945 cubic meters, which is in line with the goals of sustainable development and optimal use of resources, and in line with achieving the strategic objective of promoting integrated waste management.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In this regard, Eng. Khaled Moeen Al Hosani confirmed that the Department&#8217;s qualified personnel have adopted a plan to reuse wastewater for agricultural purposes according to the set plans. He point out that there is an increase in the quantity during the same period in 2023 and 2022, as the quantity of treated wastewater in 2023 reached 50,910,271 cubic meters, while the quantity in 2022 was estimated at 46,879,739 cubic meters.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Eng. Al Hosani explained that efforts are being made to preserve the health and safety of all people and to invest resources in various areas that have positive impact on both the environment and people.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Eng. Al Hosani pointed out that the Department aims to strengthen cooperation with all leading entities and institutions in the field of environment, and is dedicated to enhancing joint coordination, exchanging expertise, and implementing joint initiatives and projects to achieve the best outcomes in this vital field. He emphasized the ongoing cooperation with Ajman Sewerage to treat and reuse wastewater.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He added that agricultural and agricultural beautification projects across the Emirate have utilized treated wastewater, as the Department has provided irrigation lines that provide agricultural projects with treated wastewater.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting that the Department uses a Tertiary Treatment System in treating wastewater, which is considered one of the latest technologies used in this field. In this System, samples are taken to ensure that the quality of the treated water meets international standards and specifications.
