Rashid Al Nuaimi Emphasizes That the Challenge Is To Win the Ajman Government Excellence Award During An Honoring Ceremony for Winners of the Al-Naqwa Award’s Fifth Session

His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, emphasized that the true challenge that lies ahead for the Department is to win the Ajman Government Excellence Award. He noted that the Department’s success and its achievements in any competitive award, whether locally, regionally or internationally, are owed to the efforts of all its staff members. Awards achieved by the Department honor its various units rather than individuals, and such successes are the responsibility of everyone.

He added that an award for one person is an award for everyone, then praised the efforts of Al-Naqwa winners for the internal award’s fifth session. He then hailed the efforts of the work teams that helped promote an environment of innovation and competitiveness among award competitors.

He made his statement while addressing the winners of the Al-Naqwa award during a celebration held at the Department’s Ajman X building and organized by the Department under the patronage of His Highness. Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director-General of the Department, executive directors, unit directors, senior officials, and senior employees attended the ceremony.

Engineer Noura Rashid Shattaf, Head of the Award’s Executive Team, stated that Al-Naqwa has developed significantly since it was first launched and compared with its first four sessions. Its standards and categories have improved and are now aligned with the standards of the Ajman Government Excellence Award. Some categories concerning excellence in services now follow the international seven star rating scale adopted for service centers, as do the research category and other categories. This will help create a competitive environment among candidates and improve institutional performance.

The celebration included a presentation about the award starting with its launch and covering its progress, categories, and evaluation stages.

To conclude the event, His Highness honored winners who achieved high rankings in the Al-Naqwa award, an internal competition organized according to employee categories with updated criteria for its fifth session.    The IT standard was awarded first place in the Excellent Standards category while the Agriculture and Public Parks Department received first place for Excellent Government Department. The Tasdeeq Project received first place for Best Project, and the Customer Happiness Center at Manama Municipality was awarded first place for the Best Service Center.

It should be noted that Al-Naqwa award is an internal award launched by the Department in 2008 under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department, to promote competitiveness and improve institutional performance among employees.
