Municipality and Planning Department of Ajman and Ajman Medical Zone sign memorandum of understanding to raise the standards of safety and public health

Ajman Municipality and Planning Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Health and Prevention- Ajman Medical Zone, in order to strengthen mutual cooperation between the two parties and enhance the strategic partnership links to serve all people living in the emirate and push towards the desired prosperity.

 

The agreement was signed on behalf of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman by HE Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, and on the behalf of the Ministry of Health and Prevention- Ajman Medical Zone HE Hamad Tarim Al Shamsi, Director of the Ajman Medical Zone. The meeting was attended by a number of officials from both sides.

 

HE Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, stressed that the Department is keen on the health and safety of the population and it spares no effort to build bridges of constructive work and cooperation with all local and federal bodies that seek to achieve the desired goals. He pointed out that the memorandum consolidates the joint efforts between the two parties to serve the customers of all categories by taking advantage of the capabilities available to each of them represented in the human cadres, technical and technological apparatus and accumulated practical experience in each of them, leaving a positive impact on the final output of the level of service provided by both parties.

 

For his part, HE Hamad Tarim Al Shamsi, Director of Ajman Medical Zone, said: "The region appreciates the efforts of the Department and its keenness on mutual coordination which seeks to serve the community and improve the level of services offered to citizens and residents in the UAE. We have agreed on institutional cooperation by concluding a memorandum of understanding and strategic cooperation to organize strategic cooperation in the sectoral objectives to ensure food safety and participate in setting plans and programs aiming at raising public health in the Emirate.

 

According to the memorandum, which last for a one year from the date of signing with automatic renewal, the two parties agreed to participate in joint work teams. This goes for the public interest of the Emirate and the achievement of the mutual goals of the Department and the Medical Zone in Ajman, as well as sharing data of food poisoning incidences and epidemic diseases in Ajman to develop plans and preventive programs in the light of the legislation Federal institutions in force in the State.

 

The two parties have agreed to plan and implement joint awareness and community initiatives to serve the common objectives of the Department and the Medical Zone. They have agreed as well to participate in field investigation procedures for joint and epidemiological diseases and procedures in accordance with the regulations and laws of the State, as well as to cooperate in imposing quarantine measures for any outbreaks of diseases in the Emirate.

 

In accordance with the memorandum, the two parties have agreed to hold technical meetings to identify programs that contribute to improving the internal environment in enterprises to contribute in reaching a safe and healthy environment.

 

The two parties shall ensure the confidentiality of the information without  disclosing any of this Memorandum's provisions or any of its work plans to third parties except after obtaining the written consent of the other party, provided that this applies throughout the term of the agreement or after its end or termination for any reason.
