MPDA Celebrates the 46th National Day on the Establishment of the Glorious Union

Under the patronage and presence of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, the Department celebrated the UAE 46th National Day and commemorated the Martyr's Day with special events that made everyone remember the martyrs' championships and their eternal sacrifice to keep the banner of the Union high.

The celebration of the National Day and the commemoration of the Martyr's Day initiated with the arrival of His Highness sponsor of the celebration to the celebration site in the main square in front of the building of the Department. His Highness wandered in company with HE Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, the Executive Directors and a number of officials to review the events organized in tents that focused on the folklore, authentic Emirati customs, ancient professions, values and principles instilled by founding fathers.

HH stressed that the United Arab Emirates and every dust spot in our strong union will celebrate today the national occasion that renews the loyalty and pledge of allegiance of every citizen and resident in the country for the first founders who gave us the finest models of giving and diligence, and their insightful vision made us enjoy peace, security and prosperity now. We celebrate today our emirates union while our glorious flag is flying high and with pride in all local, regional and international forums, our children are presenting a bright picture of the good that is rooted in them, creativity has become our title, and progress, elevation and innovation are recorded every moment in our record.

His Highness said that we cannot but recall our late father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his late brother Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who set the pillars and met with their brothers, the members of the Federal Supreme Council and the rulers of the Emirates, to make a historic and decisive decision on setting up the Union on strong grounds to promote sustainable development and to build the citizen scientifically, cognitively and technically, so that their wise vision will be a bright and dignified present that we live today and we take the highest positions of glory and leadership.

His Highness said that the glory we are living today and the amazing achievements that would shock the world would not have been made without the wise leadership that has completed the march of the first founders until we are living a present that is full of peace and tolerance, stressing that today we are classified under the rule of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the state, as the happiest people on the entire earth. We thank Allah who gave us the grace of leadership that spare no effort to take our hands, encourage our youth, appreciate our women and empower them. Our leaders draw lessons from the experiences of the elderly and instilled in us the principles and values of cohesion and solidarity to move together for a better future for us and our children.

His Highness said that today we celebrate our glorious union and we do not forget the finest men of the nation and a group of great people who went to the paradise in defense of the dust of our dear country and proved to everyone that the love cannot be uttered in words and slogans, but the love means acts that appeared in the positions. They sacrificed their souls as ransom for the precious dust of the home. He indicated that we all are proud of them, support their families and inform our children of their sacrifices.

The National Day celebrations and the commemoration of the Martyr's Day included a variety of events that started with taking the national oath, upstanding for the national anthem and listening to poetry by the children of the Al-Zawraa kindergarten. Also, the poet, Marwan Al-Shehhi, read a national poetry that touched everyone's feelings. The events concluded with the parade of the general Command of the Ajman Police.

HE Abdulrahman Mohammed, Director General of the Department, said that the outstanding participation of the leaders, employees and all staff of the department reflects the deep-rooted love of the precious homeland in all souls, demonstrates its cherished prestige in our hearts and renews loyalty and pledge of allegiance for the leadership in the UAE that completed the march and followed the approach of the founders until our country could come at the top in various areas. He calls on Allah to restore our national days and our country is good and happy, and calls on Allah to keep for us the blessing of leadership that illuminates our path and take our hands for a better future.
