His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi issues a decree to rename the Supreme Leadership Council to “Supervisory Board” and to reconfigure the council at Ajman Municipality and Planning Department

His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department issued a decree to reconfigure the Supreme Leadership Council and rename the Council and call it the Supervisory Board. This decree shall be in effect as of the date of implementation.


The decree comes in view of the Amiri Decree No. 14 of 2006, and the Amiri Decree No. 11 of 2016 and the decision of the Department Chairman No. 44 of 2010 and the decision of the Department Chairman  No. 4 of 2017, and is based on the results of the evaluation of the governance maturity level of the department. His Excellency Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi, Director General of the department, was appointed "Deputy Chairman of the Board", and Eng. Nora Rashed Shattaf, Chief Executive Officer of Customer Happiness Center was appointed  "Executive Member", while Ibrahim Mohammed Al Riyami, Head of the quality section and excellence program, was appointed "Secretary of the Board".


  Regarding the members of the board, the board includes four independent members who are experienced and efficient with outstanding contributions in their field of expertise as well as the department’s objectives. The four members include, Eng. Khalifa Saeed Al Jarrah, “Independent Member”, Mr. Abdul Aziz Al Jasmi, “Independent Member”, Mr. Ibrahim Salman Al Hammadi, “Independent Member”, and Ms. Mariam Abdul Rahman Al Shurafa, “Independent Member”.


The decree also sets objectives for the supervisory board. These objectives include developing the direction and strategic vision of the department, as well as, developing, monitoring and reviewing sectoral performance, national agenda, competitiveness and future outlook, not to mention following up on the performance of the executive management.
