His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, confirmed that the Emirate of Ajman was constantly seeking to promote the health of every citizen and resident on its soil, sparing no efforts to support all medical departments and establishments. He made this statement during a visit to the  Thumbay University Hospital, considered to be the biggest private university hospital in the Middle East, a future educational hub, and a beacon of advanced healthcare and research.

His Highness was accompanied by His Excellency Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, and His Excellency Hamad Taryam Al Shamsi, Director of the Ajman Medical District. During his tour of the hospital, the Chairman expressed the Emirate’s pride in the efforts being made to protect human life, calling what he saw at the hospital a source of pride and commenting on the hospital’s sophisticated infrastructure.

His Highness then noted that all sectors, including the medical sector, were today leaning toward adopting modern technologies. The Thumbay University Hospital itself contains a robotic pharmacy that constitutes a unique achievement and dispenses medicine to patients in only a few seconds.

Dr. Moideen Thumbay, President and CEO of the Thumbay Group, explained to His Highness in detail the structure of the hospital complex, which contains 500 beds and 50 exclusive beds dedicated to physiotherapy and rehabilitation, making treatment at the hospital comprehensive thanks to the two latter services.

The Thumbay Group CEO continued to say that the hospital, covering a surface of 450,000 square feet, included 120 clinics and had a unique “therapy garden” that could help speed-up and complete recovery.
