Ajyal: A Practical Experience for Alghad Employees

The Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman launched the Summer Training Program “Ajyal”, which witnessed the participation of 100 university and school students from both genders, in Ajman Saray Hotel.


Mr Sultan Abdullah Bin Darwish, Department’s HR Director, confirmed his pleasure to receive Alghad employees at the conception of each training, as they demonstrate an enthusiasm to learn more about the nature of work as they enter the workplace.


He said also that Ajyal program is launched annually by virtue of the directions of His Highness Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department, and is followed up by His Excellency Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, as they are keen to train the youth citizens, help them acquire different experiences and enhance their academic expertise and knowledge through field training, so as to establish in them an awareness about the importance of vocations in serving their country.


Bin Darweesh also said that the Department is witnessing this year an increasing demand by students, which demonstrates their awareness and their keenness to benefit from this practical program. He added that the Department has received many requests since it announced it will start receiving applications to enroll in Ajyal 2019 program, with participants from Ajman, Masfoot and Al Manamah. They proved they are willing to seek the opportunity that would prepare them to apply their knowledge, benefit from the experiences of employees, interact with them and follow their suit, as well as have direct communication with them in order to achieve the best results.


Distribution among ministries 


Naima Al-Sha’er, Head of the Trainig and Vocational Development Section in the Department, has provided the participants with a detailed explanation about the attendance times, conditions of enrollment and the instructions that must be followed. In addition, she supervised their distribution among ministries according to their choices and the Department’s needs. 



The participants enrolled in “Ajyal” program were very engaged with this practical experience and expressed their pride of being trained by the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, which attracts promising talents, enhances their skills and their personal capacities, provides them with a hands-on experience that enables them to apply their knowledge and prepares them for the workplace.
