The Standing Committee for the Urban Development of Infrastructure and Environment explores ways to develop security surveillance systems and discusses several important matters
His Highness Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Standing Committee for the Urban Development of Infrastructure and Environment and General Director of the Municipality and Planning Department, during the periodic meeting of the Committee, held with the members of the Committee at his office at the Municipality and Planning Department, explored ways to develop security surveillance systems in the emirate in addition to discussing other several important subjects, which affect the lives of the individuals. Praising the constructive and continuous efforts of the Committee, which seeks to achieve the visions of the wise leadership in Ajman to transform it into a city that provides welfare and happiness to the residents, as well as attracting tourists and investors from all over the world.
His Highness started the meeting by welcoming the members of the Committee, representing all governmental departments and bodies in Ajman, in addition to reviewing the agenda.
For his part, Col. Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani briefed the presence on the updates related to developing security systems in all locations in the emirate of Ajman. Presenting the achievements of recent visits and reference comparisons with the USA and Russia to be briefed on the best practices and systems applied in these countries to spread the culture of security surveillance, which will be implemented in the emirate by the Security Licenses Division of the Criminal Investigation Department, in coordination with the General Command of Ajman Police and the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman to develop requirements for the buildings’ owners to oblige them to install surveillance cameras through the approvals of the building permit and its certificate of completion, as well as obtaining a decree from the police.
For his part, Eng. Omar Ahmed bin Omair briefed His Excellency Chairman of the Committee and other members on the latest updates related to the subject of allocating external roads to oblige the trucks to use external roads instead of using the Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Street and the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Street. In addition to reviewing the completion rate as well as the results of the meeting held by the Public Transport Corporation of Ajman with Abu Dhabi to activate the truck scale.
Eng. Khalid Moein and Col. Abdullah Al Hamrani provided a detailed explanation on the database that must be provided to reduce the noises from the vehicles and pollution, congestion and accident rates, stressing on the importance of exchanging available data and information between the Municipality and Planning Department and the General Command of the Ajman Police.
Mr. Ahmed Hassan Foura briefed His Excellency Chairman of the Committee and members on the completion rate in the project of the gradual transformation on the use of natural gas in some of the speed cars and launching the eco-friendly hybrid cars, stressing the focus on launching a series of awareness campaigns to address all members of the society, corporates and companies to transform a proportions of their vehicles to the use of natural gas.
The Committee recommended the need to develop a future plan and indexes to target the comprehensive view for the next ten years to be presented to the Executive Council and to prepare the report containing the best practices implemented in the application of natural gas, hybrid cars and all possible obstacles.
His Excellency and the members listened to a detailed explanation presented by Eng. Omar Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi on the completion rate of the project of activating the role of the equipped vehicles for the initiatives of providing home care for the elders and those of special needs in the emirate. Following up the correspondences with the Standing Committee for Social Development on providing an equipped vehicle for the social initiatives in the Public Transport Corporation of Ajman and the possibility to benefit from it in cooperation with their committee.
The Committee followed the subject of raising the efficiency and numbers of public transportation stations, which include bus stations and marine transport docks as well as stations operating mechanism, which are being supervised by the Public Transport Corporation of Ajman in cooperation with the Municipality and Planning Department.
His Highness and the members praised the achievement of several important projects including allocating lanes in the roads to be used by different public transportations and the project of modifying the fees of the pre-paid parks, expressing his pride of the efforts exerted by the bodies responsible for completing these projects.
The meeting discussed the achievements of the society safety team for the protection of individuals and properties, in addition to reviewing a detailed report, during the meeting, on the cleaning projects of the Al Safeya Park in addition to several vital projects.
His Excellency Chairman of the Committee praised the keenness of the members to follow up and to carry out the previous recommendations and tasks assigned to them in the previous meetings, praising the current completion rates and urging them to make more efforts and achievements to reach the objectives, which are consistent with the strategy of the wise government in Ajman.
